An effective brand tells a story, it communicates the brand DNA & provides an emotional connection to the client. Here is the story behind my brand.

Why are feathers so important that I would use it as the basis to my brand? As a feather collector, the feather personally signifies the spiritual connection to divinity. Feathers are known as symbols of trust, strength, wisdom & power protection, a symbol of flight & freedom in a physical, mental, emotional & spiritual sense. Feathers are seen as graceful & beautiful, with their gentle curve, interesting shapes & unique patterns, all making them a suitable design element.

In history, quills have been a symbol of communication as they were the most sophisticated writing and drawing instruments prior to the invention of the dip pen. I have 2 feathers, each representing the most important creative parts of me, fine art & now graphic design. The connecting of these 2 creative parts gives rise to a new exciting level of creativity.

The diamond motif is the foundational geometric symbol of creation. This symbol is indicative of the transformative journey our souls make while we are achieving higher understanding. The 4 sided shape plays a major role in alchemy. Alchemy is defined as any seemingly magical process of transforming or combining elements into something new. The diamonds 4 sides are indicative of the 4 natural elements, earth, fire, air, & water. It is of a higher nature rising above the trivialities of everyday life. From a design perspective, the diamond is an interesting element connecting the 2 feathers. The reason for 3 diamonds is the design element of odd numbers are more pleasing to the eye. Finally a diamond is representative of excellence.

Art Design Imagination, 3 words that simply state what I am about. Art – the past, Design- the present & Imagination as the pivotal connector. Art + Design + Imagination = Artfully Designed!

A unique color combination that it suits me perfectly as I am known for my silver hair with purple streaks, it is my personal brand that translates into my business brand!

I chose IvyMode for the stylish high contrast between the thick/thin strokes. It has been associated with luxury brands & regarded as instant class, that works for me! But mostly it works for me because of the diamond shapes over the lowercase i and j and the period symbol is a diamond which I use as an additional design element in my lettermark & wordmark. Furthermore the abrupt vertical ending to the R & X adds a unique touch. The diamond shape in the logo symbol connects the 2 feathers & hallelujah IvyMode comes with it’s own diamond symbol giving the brand interesting repetition.
