For Auction #1, I used 8 paintings from my personal collection & inventory. The auction was such an amazing success, the response from the public was so enthusiastic that I had to do it again. But for Auction #2, I had to call in HELP to create all new artwork. Over a dozen art colleagues & students showed up over the 4 weeks to paint backgrounds, basecoat sunflowers I had created on the canvases.

Then I took over to add details. The end result was 35 paintings of assorted sizes. At least 2, sometimes 3 artists worked on each canvas. The comments from the artists was that they felt better being able to participate in a very important cause. Included in the group I call the "Sunflower Ladies" is my 9yr old Granddaughter & my 85 yr young mother!

Auction #1 (March 2022) was a HUGE success having raised $8,200 for RedCross/Ukraine!
